FAQ - Frequently Answered Questions
- What's all this, then?
Welcome to The Lincolnshire Site! This website replaces our 'This Britain' and 'Lincs. Links' pages. 250 links on the one web page was getting to be very slow-loading, cumbersome and difficult to maintain.
- Who are you?
We are BizOrg Telecommunications & Internet Services, based on the Lincolnshire coast. We have been operating Telecommunications services in the county for more than 15 years and Internet services for more than 10 years.
- Do you operate any other web sites?
We operate many others, including these sites:-
We have also created several dynamic tourism, business and entertainment related websites for local authorities in Lincolnshire.
- I'm a bit of an Anorak. How did you create this site?
The database system is a CGI program, written in-house in the Perl programming language. Thus all the search and (sub)category pages are dynamically-generated and data driven. The non-database pages are Server Side Includes. The Scripts were developed and tested using Apache Server software, Visual Perl Editor and Active Perl. The site is hosted with DSVR along with dozens of sites that we opertae for our clients.
- I've got a website! How do I get it added to The Lincolnshire Site?
Just take a look at our Webmasters' page for full details.
- How can I advertise on your site?
We think that The Lincolnshire Site is the most cost-effective medium for your targetted advertising! please see our Advertisers' page for full details.
